Safety monitoring in industrial environments

In industrial plants, manual intervention by operating personnel in automated processes is often necessary. Light barriers in combination with an SRC30/EL monitor the work area. As long as no obstacle interrupts the light beam, the safety relay remains closed and the system remains active. In the event of a tool change, the safety system recognizes the operator's intervention and deactivates the drives to prevent accidents. This means that the machine only runs when the work area is clear.
