FU252: Frequency Converter >>> Analog / Serial RS232

The FU252 has been discontinued as of 30.11.2019. The FU210 offers a complete replacement with a variety of options. More details of FU210 ...

Compact signal converter in dual design. With pulse inputs for two incremental encoders or measuring systems and versatile features. The module converts both a frequency and sum, difference, product or ratio of two frequencies into an analog signal (voltage or current). At the same time, the result of the two connected encoders is converted into a serial format, which is available at the integrated RS232 interface. A time-saving snap-on device is used for mounting in the control cabinet, with which the device can be mounted quick and easy on a DIN rail.

  • Pulse inputs with format A, B, 2 x 90° [HTL] or A, /A, B, /B [TTL / RS422]
  • Input frequency up to 1 MHz [RS422] or 200 kHz [HTL]
  • Scalable 14 bit analog output for ±10 V or 0/4 ... 20 mA
  • Output polarity ± follows rotation direction (phasing A / B)
  • Power supply 18 ... 30 VDC
  • Snap-on housing for top hat rail (according to EN 60715)
  • Serial RS232 / RS485 interface
  • Conversion time only 1 msec., therefore also suitable as a tacho replacement
  • Accuracy 0.1 %
  • Easy to set up by simple TEACH procedure, or by PC (operator software included)
  • Adjustable floating average filter to smooth output swings with unsteady input frequencies
  • Free programmable linearization curves
