The devices of the DS240 - 246 series are designed for the connection of a SIL3/PLe certified sine cosine encoder or sensor. The DS246 is equipped with a relay, 4 transistor outputs and an analog output, but has no signal distributor (in contrast to the DS240).

(SS1, SS2, SOS, SLS, SDl, SSM, SLI, SBC, STO, SMS) - 1 encoder input with format SIN+, SIN-, COS+, COS- [1 Vss]

- 2 pulse- or control inputs with format A, B, 90°

BG230: Plug-in Display and Programming Unit
The plug-in display and programming unit BG230 is used for the motrona safety devices of the DS230 - DS246 series. This devices contains a huge variety of functions and options of applications. Thanks to its intuitive operation, it is fast, simple and flexible to use. Easy "copy & paste" of system parameters allows the quick transfer to other devices with the same or similar configuration.
The BG230 offers the following features on the safety device:
- Dual channel frequency indicator
- Individual scalable for speed indicator, production rates, etc.
- Editing and saving of the BG230 scaling and safety devices parameters
- Editing and copying of the safety devices parameters
- Visual error messaging
