touchMATRIX® Process Indicator with IO-Link modul

The IO-Link Process Indicator of the touchMATRIX® series offers the linkage to the world of IO-Link.

Now it is possible to use analog sensors in the digital world. Fully in the sense of Industry 4.0 conventional standard sensors can benefit all the advantages of IO-Link. This enables the usage of multiple and innovate functions such as the transmission of status information, the configuration of the devices during operation or the digital evaluation and scaling of analog sensors.

This features will save costs during commissioning or modification of a machine. Due to a wide range of monitoring functions weak points can be detected, analyzed and repaired before a machine breakdown occurs.

The "IO-Link Device" operating in "Port Class A" is the first graphic display with IO-Link communication of motrona GmbH and guarantees with "COM3" a fast data transfer with a cycle time <3 msec. A remote visualization and monitoring of conventional sensors is possible without disclaiming the advantages and requirements of the Industry 4.0 standards.

The touchMATRIX® Process Indicator with IO-Link can be operated in the following two IO-Link modes:

Digital Indicator of two IO-Link process data’s

The IO-Link Process Indicator shows up to two numerical values transmitted via IO-Link Master
(2 process data OUT, 32 bit, long).
The device functions such as scaling the display, adding decimal point, fading in engineering units, setting of preset values and the hardware options of three control inputs, four switching outputs, two relay outputs and one 16-bit analog output, etc. are available.

Process Indicator with two analog inputs

The AX350/IO Indicator shows up to two measurement results of the analog processing.
In addition, six process data’s are transferred to the IO-Link master.
(6 process data IN, 32 bit, float)
The device functions such as scaling the display, adding decimal point, fading in engineering units, setting of preset values and the hardware options of three control inputs, four switching outputs, two relay outputs and one 16-bit analog output, etc. are available.

The 6 process data IN are:
- Value of analog input 1 (with scaling, average and linearization function)
- Value of analog input 2 (with scaling, average and linearization function)
- Totalization of analog input 1 (with scaling and linearization function)
- Totalization of analog input 2 (with scaling and linearization function)
- Linkage of analog input 1 and analog Input 2 (sum, difference, multiplication or division)
- Linkage of totalization input 1 and input 2 (sum or difference)
