With the new PN222, motrona is introducing a smart PROFINET fieldbus coupler that simplifies and streamlines the connection between the sensor level and the fieldbus level.

Whether for new machine designs or the expansion of existing systems, the PN222 integrates a wide variety of analog and digital sensor signals in a structured manner into a PROFINET network and makes the acquired process data available to the higher-level controller. This creates a clear and reliable interface between the signal level and the controller.

The base unit can be expanded by up to three modules using the EM222 expansion modules. This allows additional signals to be integrated without having to fundamentally change the existing system architecture.
