Four fast switching digital inputs can be freely assigned to external events. Beyond the single channel layout, the I/O can also be executed as inverse redundant resp. as dual channel realized to fulfill highest safety requirements. Furthermore each input can be configured as a read back input for external relays or power switches. With our innovative matrix assignment it is possible to map each digital input to a corresponding digital output.
In conjunction with the eight digital outputs, up to four external relays resp. power switches plus the already integrated relay can be used to set a safety alarm.
Events such as STO, SDI, SLS, SSM, SOS etc. can be freely assigned to each output,
but they can also be combined by logical functions. Several events are linkable on one output, as well as different outputs can be combined on one event.
Each of these observation modes can be activated individually and can be released after an adjustable delay time.
With this firmware release the DS devices have established a new benchmark for safety modules.

Following a successful launch, the certified Safety Monitors DS230 and DS240 got their first system tuning. The new firmware 4.0 offers a lot of various new functions which make the DS series even more flexible and thereby providing much more modes of operation.
