Camera systems

In highly automated factories, the production time per piece are getting shorter and shorter. As a result, all devices in the system must be coordinated with one another. In the case of production lines in particular, the inspection system must be matched to the line speed using a precise factor. For this purpose, the FM210 frequency multiplier supplies the required pulse width for the camera system, which corresponds to the imaging area of the camera, depending on the line speed. In the example below, 3 pulses are given out by the FM210 depending on the line speed. These impulses trigger the camera three times at the right moment to photograph the product correctly. The camera is triggered by a photocell, which emits a continuous impulse for the time the product moves past. Large objects can thus be combined to form a complete image using several individual images.
