Safe door release using position sensors

The safety of passengers and maintenance personnel is very important in elevator systems. Safe door unlocking, which only takes place when the elevator is correctly positioned on the floor, plays a central role. In addition, the safety relay uses position sensors to reliably detect whether the elevator car is at a safe standstill. If movement is nevertheless detected when the elevator door is open, the safety relay triggers an emergency stop of the car.  The elevator can only be restarted when the door is closed.
