GV481: Pulse Distributor for Incremental Encoder with complete Electrical Isolation, 4-channel

The GV4xx series is being discontinued on December 1st, 2023. For new projects we recommend the GT224 device from the new modular GV/GT2xx series.

The signal distributor type GV481 has 1 input, 4 output terminals, and a short-circuit protected encoder supply. A incremental encoder with HTL or RS422/TTL can be connected. The GV481 distributes the signals  up to 4 receivers including full electrical isolation between inputs, outputs and the supply voltage. This feature, in general, can be most advantageous with impulse distribution among expanded production lines with adverse conditions of EMC / grounding / potential shift etc.

  • 1 pulse input with format A, B, Z [HTL]
    or A, /A, B, /B, Z, /Z [RS422]
  • Select input for PNP signals [10 ... 30 VDC]
  • Input frequency up to 200 kHz for HTL or
    500 kHz for RS422 / TTL
  • 4 push-pull outputs
  • Power supply 10 ... 30 VDC
  • Extended temperature range -20°C ... +60°C
  • Snap-on housing for top hat rail (according to EN 60715)
  • LEDs for indication of the input pulses
